AAP will implement Uniform Civil Code with special provisions for Muslims: Ashutosh

NEW DELHI: Reports about union government led by the BJP implementing Uniform Civil Code have caused panic and terror among minorities in India, who fear that the intolerant central government could take away their rights and impose Hindutva agenda on them.

With such fears threatening a civil war, the opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken the responsibility of calming the nerves. Today AAP promised that the party will not allow the BJP government to succeed in its nefarious designs.

“We are not against Uniform Civil Code, but it should have special provisions for Muslims, Christians and other minority religious groups,” AAP leader Ashutosh clarified party’s stand on the issue.

AAP said that the party has received calls from help from various minority groups, which feared that India will soon be declared a Hindu Rashtra and the voting rights of all religious minorities will be taken away so that BJP wins the 2019 general elections.

“Everyone knows that AAP is going to win the next general elections and Arvind Kejriwal will become the Prime Minister. We stand with our minority brothers and suspect that this could be a conspiracy by Modi to stop Kejriwal from becoming the Prime Minister,” Ashutosh said.

Ashutosh also read a few tweets from young Muslim and Christian citizens who demanded help from AAP. While reading the third tweet, Ashutosh started crying.

“With folded hands I request the tyrant Modi not to destroy the secular fabric of India. BJP’s uniform civil code is actually about making Muslims wear different uniforms as Jews were forced to do in the regime of Hitler,” he added.

A formal Press Release by AAP in this regard is expected soon.

  • Punjab youth say they have stopped taking drugs after becoming AAP supporters

Punjab youth say they have stopped taking drugs after becoming AAP supporters

CHANDIGARH: AAP’s campaign against drug addiction in Punjab is showing positive results. Many young men, who recently started supporting the party, have confirmed that they no longer need any drug after becoming AAP supporters.

“I don’t feel the urge anymore. Earlier I felt there was something lacking in my life. I was low on confidence and I felt nobody loved me in this world. And that’s why I started taking drugs. It took me into a new world where everything appeared perfect,” Manjit Singh, a drug addict turned AAP supporter shared his story.

“Now after joining groups that support AAP, I don’t feel the need to take drugs. I have gained confidence as I feel I know everything, and all the AAP supporters love me,” Manjit added. “I am happy with my new life.”

Dozens others shared similar stories with Junta Ka Reporter, confirming that supporting AAP had obliterated the need to take drugs.

“Now there is no need to join any rehab or dera to get rid of drug addiction. AAP is the best rehab and dera combined,” revealed Ritesh, another former drug addict.

Most of these ex drug addicts were introduced to AAP after they started watching online videos and reading tweets when high. They watched videos of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal singing and millions of tweets by AAP supporters, and they were drawn into it.

“Soon we realized that we don’t need drugs anymore,” Manjit said.

Once they supported AAP either in the real world or somewhere online like on social media, they kept going back supporting the party come what may. The experience was similar to taking drugs, and thus they found a perfect substitute and solution for their problems.

Party leaders have expressed happiness at this phenomenon and have claimed that it showed that only AAP was capable of making India a better place and making people’s lives better.

“We are not even in the opposition in the assembly and we’ve brought this change. Imagine how much change we can bring to Punjab once we have the government here!” AAP leader Bhagwant Mann said.

Assembly elections in Punjab are due next year and Aam Aadmi Party is expected to sweep it.

  • AAP’s internal committee gives clean chit to Shirish Kunder in plagiarism case

AAP’s internal committee gives clean chit to Shirish Kunder in plagiarism case

NEW DELHI: Respected filmmaker and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Shirish Kunder has been under attack from BJP supporters, who accuse him of copying a Nepalese short film Bob to make his own original short film Kriti.

With organized and concerted attempts like mass reporting the YouTube link of Kriti, the BJP supporters were successful in getting the YouTube link of Kriti removed earlier today. To malign Kunder further, BJP supporters even made a fake Japanese movie poster to claim that Kriti’s poster was also copied:

With some sections of media believing such charges, AAP decided to form an inquiry committee to look into the issue. The youth wing of AAP was asked by party supremo Arvind Kejriwal – who had watched and liked Kriti – to submit the report within a couple of hours.

Junta Ka Reporter has learned that the committee has submitted its report and given a clean chit to Shirish Kunder. It has found that the two movies are not at all similar, and Kunder deserves all praise for the excellent short film that he has made.

“Some scenes are very very similar and look carbon copy of each other but even AAP’s ‘aam aadmi’ slogan is exactly what Congress used to say; does it mean AAP copied Congress? Of course No!” the report explained why Kriti is not copied.

“The plot and idea of Kriti and Bob are same, but this can’t be called plagiarism. Same illogical arguments were used to claim that Swaraj, book written by Kejriwal sir was plagiarized. But we all know that it was an original and revolutionary book,” the reporter further explained why it thinks Kriti is not a copy of Bob.

Shirish Kunder has welcomed the clean chit and hoped that Google (company that owns YouTube) will now unblock his short film. AAP member and singer-musician Vishal Dadlani too has asked Google to unblock the movie, else the party will be forced to launch a worldwide agitation against the company.

  • AAP issues show cause notice to Kumar Vishwas for ‘praying like a sanghi’ at iftar party

AAP issues show cause notice to Kumar Vishwas for ‘praying like a sanghi’ at iftar party

NEW DELHI: Last week Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized an iftar party in the holy month of Ramadan to pray for world peace, secularism, eradication of poverty, and strengthening of democracy in India. Top leadership of the party attended this event, which was also aimed at promoting religious harmony and brotherhood – values that are of late under attack from the Sangh Parivar led by the RSS.

To achieve the aforementioned goals for betterment of humanity, AAP leaders made dua (a form of Islamic prayer) to the almighty. Pictures of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and party spokesperson Ashutosh making a dua went viral on social media, and everyone appreciated the gesture.

However, what also went viral were pictures of party leader Kumar Vishwas not making the dua. Not only that, what upset the party the most is a picture where Vishwas is seen saying a prayer in a style that is followed by the Sangh Parivar supporters.

Kumar Vishvas praying at iftar party
The picture that has upset the party.

Sources tell Junta Ka Reporter that the party has taken this irresponsible act of Kumar Vishwas very seriously and has served him a show cause notice, asking him to explain his behavior.

“When Arvind Kejriwal was making a dua in correct pose, Vishwas should have simply followed that. He can’t claim that he didn’t know how to make a dua,” a party leader present at the iftar party said on conditions of anonymity.

Some supporters of Kumar Vishwas claim that the poet-turned-politician was just following the Hindu way of prayer and it should not be confused with Sanghi style of prayer. However, experts say that this argument lacks merit.

“There is no Hindu way of prayer as even the Supreme Court has ruled that Hinduism is a way of life, and not a religion. Kumar Vishwas needs to explain his behavior. His pictures are doing damage to the party,” Aashish Khetan, former journalist and currently an AAP leader argued.

Many other experts seem to agree with Khetan’s argument and claim that the true way of prayer is when it’s inclusive and secular. Anything that is not inclusive is Sanghi.

“Remember when Mamata Banerjee government took oath, all the Hindu leaders took oath in the name of ‘ishwar and allah’ while Muslims took oath only in the name of ‘allah’ – that is secularism and inclusiveness. It is worrying if Vishwas can’t have ‘ishwar and allah’ together in his prayers,” Abhay Chaubey, an expert explained.

Kumar Vishwas has often been accused of not being liberal enough by many people who have demanded his ouster from the party so that AAP becomes a truly liberal and secular organization, but sources say that since Vishwas is a childhood friend of Kejriwal, getting him booted out is not easy.

“I think he may claim that he was making a prayer for Kejriwal with closed eyes and folded hands, and that might save him again,” said an AAP worker who doesn’t like Vishwas sarcastically.

  • Salman Khan lobbying to get a positive tweet on Sultan by Arvind Kejriwal?

Salman Khan lobbying to get a positive tweet on Sultan by Arvind Kejriwal?

MUMBAI: It appears that Salman Khan is not experiencing any achchhe din. His last movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo flopped and his recent remarks about ‘feeling like a raped woman’ drew criticism from everyone. He has got notices from women commissions and a case also has been filed against him.

Before these controversies hit him, his image had already taken a beating due to the hit-and-run case coming back to haunt him. Furthermore, his assumed proximity to BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been losing public support after becoming PM, has also caused him to lose some fan following and goodwill among the masses.

In such a scenario, Salman Khan desperately needs an image makeover and public support as barely a week remains before his movie Sultan hits the theaters.

Sources say that Salman has now turned his hope towards Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) founder and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whose public support has been rising exponentially in recent past.

People appreciated publicly by Kejriwal have performed well in public life and their tasks have been successful. Similarly, movies that Kejriwal have tweeted about have become hits on box-office, latest being Udta Punjab, whose success has been traced to Kejriwal’s tweets by trade analysts.

Realizing that Arvind Kejriwal is the key to public support and success, sources reveal to Junta Ka Reporter that Salman Khan is desperately sending feelers to Arvind Kejriwal to get the Delhi Chief Minister to tweet appreciatively on Sultan.

Arvind Kejriwal is known not to be vindictive and thus Salman is hoping that Kejriwal will pardon his proximity to Modi and help him in troubled times. According to sources, Salman has promised to mend his ways and work for people’s goodwill that will please Arvind Kejriwal.

Sources say that Salman has called up Vishal Dadlani – an honest musician who is a vocal supporter of AAP and is close to Arvind Kejriwal – at least a dozen times in the last three days, pleading with him to request Arvind Kejriwal to tweet about Sultan. Dadlani has not promised anything but said that he will try his best.

So will Arvind Kejriwal forgive Salman and help him overcome these troubled times? We will know on Eid.

  • High tide at Miramar Beach after Kejriwal visits Panjim, locals say it’s AAP Wave

High tide at Miramar Beach after Kejriwal visits Panjim, locals say it’s AAP Wave

PANAJI: A rather unusual sighting of high tide was witnessed at one of the beaches here in the capital city of Goa. The incident coincided with Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal visiting the city, and this has led people to talk if the two events were connected.

It should be noted that the meteorological department had not issued any warnings or predicted any high tide for today, yet people confirm that they witnessed tall waves at the Miramar Beach in the evening.

“I was taking my evening walk by the beach when I saw a tide surging forward. I was scared but it didn’t hurt or even wet me. It appeared as if it just wanted to register its presence peacefully,” Gaurav Nagarsekar, a resident of Panjim told Junta Ka Reporter.

Many other residents also confirm that there were tall waves at the beach between 5-6 PM today. People are linking the sighting of the high tide with the presence of Arvind Kejriwal in the city. They especially point to the fact that the high tide didn’t cause any public inconvenience despite it being tall and powerful.

    Water cannon on AAP workers
Experts say that waves of water and rise of AAP are interrelated, so people are right in linking high tide with an AAP wave in the state.

“Even Arvind Kejriwal is a tall personality and he is powerful as he is the most popular leader in the country currently. But his movements don’t cause public inconvenience like other VIPs. This can’t be coincidence, it’s a divine sign from god that Kejriwal is in the city,” another resident, Alfred Fernandez said.

Alfred added that he was just an apolitical and neutral person and not an AAP supporter, and that his sentiments reflected what an average Panjim resident thought of the two events – Kejriwal in the city and tall waves at the sea.

Many local residents have started saying that it was actually an “AAP Wave” and not some usual high tide that was witnessed.

“Goa is surely witnessing AAP Wave. Earlier this week an AAP worker helped a blind man regain his sight and now this unusual sighting of high tide. Arvind Kejriwal could well be true when he said that AAP will win 35 out of 40 seats,” local journalist Nigel Britton said.

Goa unit of the Aam Aadmi Party too has echoed these sentiments and said that they will be celebrating sighting of AAP Wave at the Miramar Beach tomorrow.

  • AAP supporters getting raw deal in corporate appraisals by BJP supporting managers?

AAP supporters getting raw deal in corporate appraisals by BJP supporting managers?

MUMBAI: While the central BJP government under Narendra Modi is making working difficult for AAP government in Delhi, it now seems that not only the Delhi government, but even ordinary AAP workers are facing similar situations in their professional lives.

This issue was raised by some alert readers of Junta Ka Reporter after we highlighted how Narendra Modi might have blocked attempts to nominate Arvind Kejriwal for Nobel Peace Prize. It seems that not just the Delhi Chief Minister, even ordinary AAP supporters are being denied recognition and awards for their hard work due to their political beliefs.

This is the tweet that pointed to the disturbing trend in corporate India:

After receiving the above tweet, we talked to many AAP supporters and volunteers and they confirmed that they were being ill treated and not allowed to work or progress in their professional careers by their bosses or colleagues who were BJP supporters.

“I was given 15% increment in 2013, but my salary rise has never been more than 5% ever since I started supporting AAP and Arvind Kejriwal openly. I think my BJP supporting boss tracks my Facebook posts and WhatsApp forwards and he is giving negative remarks in performance appraisals,” said AAP volunteer Sunil Sharma (name changed to protect identity), who works in a marketing company.

“BJP supporters are like Modi only. They can’t tolerate someone doing good work and hard work and they try to take revenge, just like Modi is taking revenge from citizens of Delhi,” Sunil added.

Similar experiences of professional harassment and intimidation were shared by many AAP supporters and volunteers employed in different companies in different parts of the country. Almost all of them are being given a raw deal and their professional careers are being ruined by BJP supporters.

    AAP poster against Modi
    Story of every AAP supporter?

“I was denied an onsite of 6 months in Germany and instead they sent a guy called Rahul Bhil who runs a pro-BJP twitter handle,” Shoheb Siddiqi (name changed again to protect identity), an IT engineer working in Hyderabad disclosed. “My boss is a Modi bhakt and he is out to destroy my career. He even removed me from a team where two good looking girls were there and has put me in a team of fellow bhakts. My life has become hell just because I support Arvind Kejriwal.”

We talked to 47 respondents who identified themselves as AAP supporters or volunteers having a day job, and 41 of them confirmed that they were being discriminated or harassed by seniors or colleagues who were BJP supporters. All of them confirmed that they had not got good salary hikes or promotions or onsite opportunities in the last 4 years, ever since AAP was founded.

Experts believe that this could be just the tip of the iceberg and we could be looking at a human tragedy of gigantic proportions that has not been reported by the media due to various reasons.

“When Arvind Kejriwal talks about how Narendra Modi is not allowing him to work, he is mocked by the BJP supporters and biased media. This is all planned to intimidate AAP supporters – that we will mock you if you talk about harassment and discrimination. But it’s good that people are now speaking up. I congratulate Junta Ka Reporter for raising this very serious issue,” Abhay Chaubey, a neutral analyst who comes regularly on NDTV, argued.

Experts further argue that most BJP-AAP relationships in the corporate world are similar to Modi-Kejriwal relationship in the political world.

“Young liberal guys support AAP and they are in comparatively junior roles compared to old conservative guys who support BJP. So the BJP supporters enjoy higher authority and power in companies like Modi enjoys in the political set up. So the pain and persecution that Kejriwal is going through is also being experienced by his supporters. This is nothing but a human tragedy,” Abhay Chaubey explained.

  • Proposal to hold general and assembly elections together aimed at denying Kejriwal govt full term?

Proposal to hold general and assembly elections together aimed at denying Kejriwal govt full term?

NEW DELHI: In his interview to Times Now Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he favored the idea of holding general and assembly elections together. Modi said that it will save costs of holding elections and also help political parties focus on governance.

Talking to Arnab Goswami, whose credentials have become suspect in the eyes of public after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called him a chamcha (sycophant) of Modi, Prime Minister said that due to this continuous cycle of elections in one state after another, political parties tend to focus more on fund raising and political gimmicks. This causes the problem of black money and the agenda of good governance suffers.

In the interview, Modi claimed that leaders from non-BJP parties too support the idea of holding general and assembly elections together so that they can work for the people without being distracted by continuous elections.

While this may appear a noble thought, experts believe that this idea has been floated by Modi to deny full five year term to the Delhi state government of AAP led by Arvind Kejriwal.

“Kejriwal became a CM in 2015 and he has the mandate to rule Delhi till 2020. But by suggesting simultaneous general and state elections, Modi is cunningly trying to force Kejriwal into fighting another elections for Delhi in 2019 itself,” Abhay Chaubey, a neutral political commentator told Junta Ka Reporter.

Abhay Chaubey further said that since elections in Punjab are near and AAP is expected to sweep that elections too, Modi had come up with this idea of simultaneous elections so that AAP governments are denied full terms.

“First they forced Kejriwal to resign after winning 2013 elections, and now they are trying these tricks to cut short his stint as Chief Minister,” Abhay Chaubey argued.

Many other neutral commentators and political analysts have also claimed that Modi’s idea was targeted at Arvind Kejriwal, because the AAP supremo has emerged as his main challenger.

“The idea is to harass Kejriwal and not let him work,” Om Jhanvi, a neutral journalist and political analyst said.

When Junta Ka Reporter asked AAP leaders about what they think, they agreed with the experts.

“It is true that Modi is scared of Kejriwal and he is indulging in such tricks to stop him for working,” AAP leader Ashutosh said.

“It is ridiculous to say that continuous elections don’t allow political parties to work,” Ashutosh further said, “Look at Aam Aadmi Party. We have been fighting elections after elections and yet we are working for the development of the people. It’s not frequent elections, but Modi’s conspiracies that are hampering our work.”

Ashutosh said that AAP will launch countrywide agitation if the Election Commission agreed with the Prime Minister’s suggestions. He feared that the Election Commission could be working to destabilize the AAP government in Delhi.

“They are trying to disqualify our 21 MLAs, and now this is another attempt to hold early elections. Modi is controlling media, police, and all other institutions. This is nothing but undeclared emergency!” he said.

  • Did Narendra Modi block nomination of Arvind Kejriwal for Nobel Peace Prize?

Did Narendra Modi block nomination of Arvind Kejriwal for Nobel Peace Prize?

OSLO: It is well known fact that organizations and individuals are free to nominate public figures for the Nobel Peace Prize. It is up to the Nobel Committee to decide whether a nominated figure deserves the prize or not, but the process of nomination itself is considered a normal process and seen as a civil right of an organization. No one had any problem with these accepted norms till date.

However, this normal and accepted process of nomination seems to have upset Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi, who reportedly tried to block an attempt to nominate Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Junta Ka Reporter has received copy of a letter from an organization named ISUP (International Society of Upright Professionals), which had recommended the name of Arvind Kejriwal for the coveted prize last year, but sources say that someone powerful in the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) pressurized ISUP not to send this letter to the Nobel Committee.

A copy of the letter is reproduced below that never reached the Nobel Committee:

Arvind Kejriwal for Nobel Peace Prize
The letter of nomination of Arvind Kejriwal that was not signed or sent to the committee due to political pressure.

Our sources confirm that this is first of its kind incident where a letter of nomination has been blocked. ISUP was warned that their offices in India could be sealed and their FCRA account will be frozen if they went ahead with this letter of nomination.

It is not clear if this was done on orders of Prime Minister Modi himself or someone in the PMO was acting independently to please the PM. But in either case, this shows a new low in Indian politics where a rise of a fellow Indian was seen as a threat to domestic politics.

  • US group of dog lovers to felicitate AAP leader Ashutosh for loving Mogu

US group of dog lovers to felicitate AAP leader Ashutosh for loving Mogu

STAMFORD, USA: Respected TV journalist turned AAP leader Ashutosh has been awarded for the fatherly love he has been showing to his pet dogs Mogu and Chhotu. Those who follow Ashutosh on Twitter know about this love, but now this fact is being known world over.

A group of dog lovers known as CCC (Canine Community of Connecticut) has decided to honor Aashutosh in a public function and given him an award of OCD (Overseas Canine Devotee) to recognize his love for his pet dogs.

A representative of CCC told Junta Ka Reporter that Ashutosh had beaten around 100 contestants to win the OCD title. These include dog lovers from counties like Iceland and Germany to those in Thailand and Mongolia.

“Ashutosh was the best among all candidates. He had allowed his dogs to lick him and had shared biscuits in breakfast. Such love is rare these days,” said Thomas Manning, the President of CCC.

It is said that Ashutosh was very angry and depressed during his journalistic days when he was slapped by late BSP leader Kanshi Ram. His own friends used to laugh at him but a couple of stray dogs showed a lot of love to him during those days.

Impressed with this selfless love given by dogs, Ashutosh decided to devote his life for betterment of dogs ever since, sources close to the former journalist reveal. Ashutosh later joined AAP to continue the mission.

He has often tweeted about Mogu and Chhotu and posted their pictures on Twitter. Mogu is considered to be his favorite though Chhotu is also loved equally by him.

If Ashutosh accepts the OCD title by CCC, he could be traveling to the USA in August to accept the award. It is not clear if Mogu and Chhotu too will be traveling with him.
