Narendra Modi refused to promote Irrfan Khan’s movie because of his religion?

NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan these days is busy promoting his upcoming film Madaari. As part of the promotions, he had met some political leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav earlier. Later on Twitter, he asked Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, and Narendra Modi to meet him and help him in promoting his movie.

But while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi agreed to meet him and promote his movie, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was non-committal. Both Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi asked Irrfan Khan to meet them in person, while the office of the Prime Minister asked the actor to send a letter.

The Prime Minister’s Office claimed that Narendra Modi was busy with the upcoming monsoon session so an immediate meeting was not possible. This was in stark contrast with request for a meeting being accepted immediately by the Delhi Chief Minister.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) immediately pointed out this difference and claimed that this was a case of religious discrimination by the Prime Minister.

“Such behavior by the Prime Minister is shameful and raises questions on his commitment to secularism,” AAP leader Ashutosh said. “When a very busy and hard working man like Arvind Kejriwal can take time out to meet a Muslim actor, why is Modi not doing the same?”

    Lalu Yadav and Irrfan Khan
Lalu Yadav, who is known for his secularism and for his friendship with Arvind Kejriwal, was among the first one who had agreed to promote Irrfan Khan’s movie.

When asked if it was the job of a Chief Minister to promote a movie, Ashutosh said that the job of a Chief Minister was to take care of everyone, which included taking care of actors and movie goers.

“Questioning the judgment and wisdom of Arvind Kejriwal is like questioning the beauty of Taj Mahal,” Ashutosh said. “Arvind Kejriwal is an expert on arts, and he understands movies, unlike Modi who can’t understand any art form.”

Many experts too agree that the response by the Prime Minister’s Office was not helpful in maintaining the secular fabric of India.

“When there are communal tensions in the country due to killings of innocent Muslims in Kashmir, Narendra Modi shouldn’t have rejected the request of a Muslim. It will negatively impact communal harmony in the country,” neutral analyst Abhay Kumar Dubey said.

BJP refused to react when Junta Ka Reporter asked its leaders if Narendra Modi’s refusal to meet Irrfan Khan was due to the Bollywood actor’s religion. Their silence has only given strength to such rumors and it seems that the ruling party has not dropped its communal agenda from governance.

  • Terror apologists too will get between 7 to 22 virgins, Islamic preacher claims

Terror apologists too will get between 7 to 22 virgins, Islamic preacher claims

MUMBAI: While terrorists get to enjoy 72 virgins in paradise after successfully carrying out a terror attack, people who give context, justify, or show the bigger picture around acts of terror too are rewarded for their pious act, an Islamic preacher has claimed.

The preacher Zakir Naeem referred to some old stories of 7th century Arabia and logically proved that not only terrorists, but even the terror apologists were qualified to get virgins in the afterlife, because they had played a crucial role in furthering the cause of Jihad.

“Communal bigots think that friends of Jihad are being paid to write those articles or make those documentaries, but the truth is that they are doing so out of their own free will and goodwill,” Zakir Naeem claimed, using the term “friends of Jihad” for those who are branded terror apologists by the BJP and RSS.

The preacher further claimed that these “friends of Jihad” will be rewarded in the heaven with virgins, ranging from 7 to 22 based on the “quality” and “purity” of their friendship and work.

“Someone like Rana Ayyub will surely get 22 virgins, which is the maximum a friend of Jihad can get,” Zakir Naeem explained, giving example of the former Tehelka journalist, who is currently doing independent publishing. Arundhati Roy was another name the preacher took as an example for someone who deserved the maximum.

“Yes, even women get virgins. Islam is the best when it comes to women’s rights,” he added.

When asked about Barkha Dutt, the Islamic preacher said that in his opinion, she could get anywhere between 15 to 19 virgins. Journalists of The Indian Express could be getting around dozen virgins each according to Zakir, while he calculated a maximum of 9 virgins for Rajdeep Sardesai. Ravish Kumar had earned 10 virgins till now, Zakir claimed.

“He will be one of the virgins,” Zakir said when asked about the prospects of Rahul Kanwal, the colleague of Rajdeep Sardesai and an employee of India Today.

“Allah is merciful and is compassionate. Everyone will be rewarded,” the Islamic preacher concluded.

The claim by Zakir Naeem has become controversial as expected. The named journalists have slammed the preacher for giving a bad name to the good preachers. The journalists have reiterated that they were doing their job to secure human rights for others, not to secure virgins for themselves.

However the terrorists have welcomed the preaching and have said that they were now confident of getting 72 virgins if the terror apologists were with them even after death.

“Burhan is not alone even after his death,” a Kashmiri terrorist said, welcoming the arguments of Zakir Naeem.

  • AAP will implement Uniform Civil Code with special provisions for Muslims: Ashutosh

AAP will implement Uniform Civil Code with special provisions for Muslims: Ashutosh

NEW DELHI: Reports about union government led by the BJP implementing Uniform Civil Code have caused panic and terror among minorities in India, who fear that the intolerant central government could take away their rights and impose Hindutva agenda on them.

With such fears threatening a civil war, the opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken the responsibility of calming the nerves. Today AAP promised that the party will not allow the BJP government to succeed in its nefarious designs.

“We are not against Uniform Civil Code, but it should have special provisions for Muslims, Christians and other minority religious groups,” AAP leader Ashutosh clarified party’s stand on the issue.

AAP said that the party has received calls from help from various minority groups, which feared that India will soon be declared a Hindu Rashtra and the voting rights of all religious minorities will be taken away so that BJP wins the 2019 general elections.

“Everyone knows that AAP is going to win the next general elections and Arvind Kejriwal will become the Prime Minister. We stand with our minority brothers and suspect that this could be a conspiracy by Modi to stop Kejriwal from becoming the Prime Minister,” Ashutosh said.

Ashutosh also read a few tweets from young Muslim and Christian citizens who demanded help from AAP. While reading the third tweet, Ashutosh started crying.

“With folded hands I request the tyrant Modi not to destroy the secular fabric of India. BJP’s uniform civil code is actually about making Muslims wear different uniforms as Jews were forced to do in the regime of Hitler,” he added.

A formal Press Release by AAP in this regard is expected soon.

  • AAP issues show cause notice to Kumar Vishwas for ‘praying like a sanghi’ at iftar party

AAP issues show cause notice to Kumar Vishwas for ‘praying like a sanghi’ at iftar party

NEW DELHI: Last week Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized an iftar party in the holy month of Ramadan to pray for world peace, secularism, eradication of poverty, and strengthening of democracy in India. Top leadership of the party attended this event, which was also aimed at promoting religious harmony and brotherhood – values that are of late under attack from the Sangh Parivar led by the RSS.

To achieve the aforementioned goals for betterment of humanity, AAP leaders made dua (a form of Islamic prayer) to the almighty. Pictures of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and party spokesperson Ashutosh making a dua went viral on social media, and everyone appreciated the gesture.

However, what also went viral were pictures of party leader Kumar Vishwas not making the dua. Not only that, what upset the party the most is a picture where Vishwas is seen saying a prayer in a style that is followed by the Sangh Parivar supporters.

The picture that has upset the party.

Sources tell Junta Ka Reporter that the party has taken this irresponsible act of Kumar Vishwas very seriously and has served him a show cause notice, asking him to explain his behavior.

“When Arvind Kejriwal was making a dua in correct pose, Vishwas should have simply followed that. He can’t claim that he didn’t know how to make a dua,” a party leader present at the iftar party said on conditions of anonymity.

Some supporters of Kumar Vishwas claim that the poet-turned-politician was just following the Hindu way of prayer and it should not be confused with Sanghi style of prayer. However, experts say that this argument lacks merit.

“There is no Hindu way of prayer as even the Supreme Court has ruled that Hinduism is a way of life, and not a religion. Kumar Vishwas needs to explain his behavior. His pictures are doing damage to the party,” Aashish Khetan, former journalist and currently an AAP leader argued.

Many other experts seem to agree with Khetan’s argument and claim that the true way of prayer is when it’s inclusive and secular. Anything that is not inclusive is Sanghi.

“Remember when Mamata Banerjee government took oath, all the Hindu leaders took oath in the name of ‘ishwar and allah’ while Muslims took oath only in the name of ‘allah’ – that is secularism and inclusiveness. It is worrying if Vishwas can’t have ‘ishwar and allah’ together in his prayers,” Abhay Chaubey, an expert explained.

Kumar Vishwas has often been accused of not being liberal enough by many people who have demanded his ouster from the party so that AAP becomes a truly liberal and secular organization, but sources say that since Vishwas is a childhood friend of Kejriwal, getting him booted out is not easy.

“I think he may claim that he was making a prayer for Kejriwal with closed eyes and folded hands, and that might save him again,” said an AAP worker who doesn’t like Vishwas sarcastically.
